There are several different types of tree pruning available such as:

Crown Reductions
Crown reductions involve reducing the overall size whilst maintaining the basic shape of the tree albeit smaller. This technique is used when clients want to keep the size under control and away from surrounding obstacles.

Crown Lifting
Crown lifting involves removing lower branches from the crown in order to lift the crown to start higher from ground level. Crown lifting can be used to allow space under the tree for such things as passing vehicles.

Crown Thin
A crown thin is the process of thinning the crown of a tree.  This is by the removal of branches to produce a more even density throughout the entire crown.
